February on the Oregon Coast. -- 1/27/2015
February may not be the nicest month weather-wise on the Oregon coast, but there certainly isn’t a lack of things to do in Lincoln City, especially over Valentine’s Day. For those lucky enough to have Presidents Day off on Monday the 16th, Valentine’s Day is the start of a three day weekend. Showing our appreciation for loved ones should be a yearlong occasion, but a long weekend at the coast is a great way to go that extra step.
Here at the Inn at Wecoma, we love special occasions. Let us help you plan a weekend for your special someone. Set the mood with the purchase of a romance package. Let us decorate the room with silk rose petals and chill sparkling wine for your arrival. Feel like a massage? We’d be happy to schedule an in-room couple’s massage for your stay. Enjoy some relaxation time in our hot tub, or take a dip in our indoor, heated pool. Maybe check out a DVD from our wide selection and snuggle by the fireplace. We’ve got you covered!
There’s plenty to do around the city as well – that is, if you decide to leave the room. Catch a comedy show at Chinook Winds Casino. Visit http://www.chinookwindscasino.com/comedy/ or call 1-888-MAIN-ACT for tickets!
You could spend all day on the 14th at the Cultural Center of Lincoln City. Enjoy some wine while learning to make a delicious Greek meal from 11am-2pm. (Call 541-557-1125 for more information.) That night, attend the Sweetheart Dance featuring music by the Lincoln Pops from 7pm-10pm. Not feeling good about your dancing skills? No problem! Attend a quick dance class before the festivities begin. Visit http://www.lincolncity-culturalcenter.org/performing-arts/sweetheart-dance-w-lincoln-pops for ticket info.
There’s also a special float drop for the weekend! Fifty red floats and fourteen heart-shaped floats will be placed along the beaches of Lincoln City. Spend some one-on-one time with your honey, walking on the beaches, looking for glass floats. You find one – you keep it!
No matter what you decide to do for Valentine’s day, let the Inn at Wecoma be there for you! Give us a call today!
